Chairman
Mr. Al Mashaan joined Argana Resorts and Hotels in 2011 as Chairman and oversees all operational aspects of Argana Company’s growing portfolio. By using his previous experience in real estate and banking & investment industry, Mr. Al Mashaan successfully developed cutting edge investment techniques that enabled Argana to position itself firmly among leading leisure and hospitality development companies.

In over 10 years in Real Estate, Banking and Investment, Mr. Al Mashaan was responsible for sourcing and analyzing potential equity & fund investments, as well as performing extensive due diligence on prospective investments at the National Investors Group (N.I.G.), the private equity subsidiary of NBK based in New York.
Later Mr. Al Meshaan joined the Treasury Department at NBK’s Head Office in Kuwait, where he was responsible for servicing all conventional and investment treasury products for corporate clients.
Mr. Al-Meshaan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from the University of Denver, Colorado - U.S.A.

Eng. Khaled Al Mashan
Vice Chairman
The Co-Founder, Eng Al Mashaan was appointed Vice Chairman of Argana in 2006, Eng Al Mashaan brings a vast and unique combination of distinguished civil engineering and real- estate development expertise, as well as significant leadership and hands-on operating experience with highly successful corporations. In addition to his leadership at Argana, Eng Al Mashaan is also currently Chairman and Managing Director of ALARGAN International Real Estate Company. He has over 19 years experience in the civil engineering and the real estate development industry.
He began his career as an Engineer, working his way up to Site Engineer in post war damage assessment following the Gulf War of 1990-1991.
During this period he also oversaw the development of the National Bank of Kuwait Headquarters in Kuwait City and subsequently continued his career at Aerated Concrete Industries. Mr. K Al-Mashaan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, U.S.A, and successfully completed the Financial Management Program and the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

Sherif Omara
Board Member
Mr. Omara was elected as a Board Member of Argana in 2006, and has brought more than 23 years of experience in accounting, finance and Investment. Mr. Omara developed his expertise by holding high ranking positions in many well-established companies in investment, finance, leasing, ijara and audit. Besides his effective role in Argana, Mr. Omara has been Group Chief Financial Officer of ALARGAN International Real Estate Company since he joined them in 2000.
Mr. Omara is also a Vice chairman of ALARGAN Holding Company and ALARGAN Investment Real Estate Company-Egypt as well as a Board Member of ALARGAN Towell Investment Company-Oman.
Mr. Omara holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with an Accounting major from Ain Shams University, Egypt.

Walid Al Sayed
Board Member
Mr. Walid Al Sayed was elected as a Board Member of Argana in 2006 subsequent to his appointment in ALARGAN in 2006 as a Regional Financial Controller. Mr. Al Sayed has over 13 years of experience at leading global accounting institutions in the accounting, auditing and consultancy service fields. He has participated in several major auditing engagements covering a variety of industries such as investment banking and manufacturing.
He has provided accounting consultancy services to numerous companies over the course of his career and participated in the preparation of several individual and corporate claims for compensation resulting from the Iraqi invasion.
In addition, he has coordinated the listing of several shareholding companies in the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Mr. Al Sayed received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree with an Accounting major from Cairo University, Egypt.

Ali Khaja
Board Member
Mr. Khaja has over eight years of experience in the fields of real estate, corporate finance and investments. He began his career at the Industrial and Financial Investments Company as part of the foreign investments team. He moved to the Corporate Finance Department of Global Investment House, where he worked on issuing and structuring various conventional corporate bonds, in excess of $480 million, in addition to listing a number companies on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Mr. Khaja was also responsible for facilitating numerous Islamic finance deals and managing a Murabaha portfolio in excess of $500 million.
He eventually moved to the Treasury Department where his responsibilities included managing proprietary financing and maintaining credit facility relationships with both local and regional banks.
Also, Ali had previously served as Chairman of Kadhma Holding Company K.S.C. and Vice Chairman of The United Towers Holding Company K.S.C.
Mr. Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Southern Florida-USA. He also has Project Management Executive certification from Cornell University, and is a member of “Thukhur,” The National Project for Leaders of Development. In 2009, he completed level 1 of the CFA program.
Currently Ali is the Vice President of Project Finance within the Investment department at ALARGAN International Real Estate Company.
